For Andres Yrigoyen, the decision to buy in Jordan Ranch was an easy one.
The Fulshear community’s first buyer, Yrigoyen was drawn by the development’s proximity to Interstate 10 and its slate of planned amenities. He first learned about Jordan Ranch from Vickie Geiger, a sales representative with Perry Homes.
“We had been looking about three months, driving the area, looking on the internet and researching construction companies,” Yrigoyen said. “We started talking with Vickie and she told us about this new development, Jordan Ranch.
“It’s close to Interstate 10, will have a nice pool and other amenities — in my opinion, Jordan Ranch is an excellent choice.”
The Yrigoyens’ home in Jordan Ranch is the first they’ve bought in Houston.
“We’ve been renting in Katy and did the math,” Yrigoyen said. “Continuing to pay rent versus buying a house was just not a good idea.”
The Yrigoyens picked a one-story home that offers plenty of flexibility — perfect for a young family.
“I didn't want my young children going up and down the stairs, plus the home has four bedrooms and a game room that we could convert into a home office,” Yrigoyen said.
And just as Yrigoyen was enthusiastic about Jordan Ranch, he and his wife were equally impressed with Perry Homes.
“We compared the quality, detailed features and homes priced in a similar range and they just couldn’t compare with Perry Homes.”
Geiger, who is working from another community while her Jordan Ranch model is under construction, says it was exciting to have the first sale in this newest project of Johnson Development Corp.
“The Yrigoyens have started a new family, are living in an apartment and wanting to build a home,” she said. “They were excited about the quality of a Perry home and when I introduced them to Jordan Ranch, became excited about what is planned for the community. And while they are thrilled about their new home, I’m excited that this is the first sale.”
Model home construction is ongoing in Jordan Ranch, with the first model expected to open in August. Builders include David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, Newmark Homes, Perry Homes, Plantation Homes and Westin Homes. Pricing starts in the $250,000s.
Construction starts this summer on an amenity center that will include a recreation center, fitness center, pool and lazy river. Also planned are tennis courts, a dog park and neighborhood parks.
“Families also will appreciate two new schools serving Jordan Ranch — Leaman Junior High and Fulshear High School, both opening in August,” said Steve Sams, general manager of Jordan Ranch. “We also have space for an on-site elementary.”
