Got a hankering for adventure, followed by boot-scootin’ music? Then head out west to Jordan Ranch for our Better Out West Fest at Jordan Ranch on Saturday, April 21, from 3 to 7 p.m.
We’ve got a great day planned starting at 3 p.m. when families can go to The Shed, 30757 Jordan Crossing, to zip line across our community, do some rock climbing, run our obstacle course and fulfill their inner rodeo cowboy by riding a mechanical bull. Activities for younger children will include a bounce house, balloon artist and more.
Make sure you bring along lawn chairs and blankets because at 5 p.m. you can boot scoot over to the event lawn for an outdoor concert featuring CMA award-winning artists Maddie & Tae.
The pair, from Texas and Oklahoma, respectively, were awarded by the Country Music Association in 2015 for Video of the Year. They also swept the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards, winning both Favorite Country Artist and Favorite Country Song for “Fly.” They have previously been nominated for ACM, CMT and CMA Awards.
Opening for the duo will be Jay Allen. The singer and songwriter scored his first hit single, “Sounds Good to Me,” when he released a five-song EP last year. He also has worked with ACM-nominated songwriter Phil Barton and Lindsay Rimes.
Throughout the day, you can purchase food truck fare from popular Houston mobile restaurants Licha's Food Truck, Smok'd It Up BBQ, Truck on the Bayou, Craft Burger, SheCupcakes Bake Shop and The Shiver Shack. Beer will be available for adults 21 and up.
And don’t worry about the rain — we’ll have a covered area in case Mother Nature opts not to cooperate with our plans.
As long as you’re here, mosey on over to our 13 beautifully decorated model homes. You’re sure to find a home you’ll love, so you can have even more fun attending our fabulous resident-only events.
The Better Out West Fest is one of the many events going on now during the April Drools Home Tour.
Houston’s largest home tour is serving up 170 “drool-worthy” model homes and nearly 500 jaw-dropping inventory homes in Johnson Development communities across the Houston area throughout the month. Homes will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. Admission to the tour is free.
