What do you get the lifestyle director who does everything? A Houston’s Best PRISM award for Lifestyle Director of the Year from the Greater Houston Builders Association.
Our beloved and hardworking Solomon Delaney walked away with the coveted award earlier this month, and we are ecstatic for him!
Solomon is a one-man-show dedicated to building our community and lifelong friendships through creative events, educational activities and opportunities to stay fit and have fun.
“Receiving the Lifestyle Director of the Year Award has been a very humbling experience for me,” Solomon said. “The gratitude from the Jordan Ranch homeowners is more than enough but being recognized by the Greater Houston Builders Association and Johnson Development does feel great!”
A southeast Texas native, Solomon gained his experience through leadership positions within Stephen F. Austin State University, where he graduated with a degree in business administration. He went to work for our sister community, Riverstone, where he served as the assistant lifestyle director.
As our full-time Director of Fun, Solomon plans 75+ events a year. That’s as many activities as much larger communities with a staff. And he does it all by himself. Some of the most memorable events he has crafted include an 80’s Murder Mystery dinner, a Cigar & Scotch Night and Pet Palooza.
When he’s not planning events, he oversees our lifestyle merit program for kids and a growing list of resident clubs. As if that weren’t enough, he serves as the liaison between the pool team, homeowners association, fitness team and construction management. He’s also the first face prospective homeowners see when they tour The Shed recreation complex.
“Seeing the homeowners of Jordan Ranch develop a sense of community and genuinely enjoying Jordan Ranch brings joy to my heart,” Solomon said. “Without a doubt, I look forward to continuing the growth of the Lifestyle Program along with welcoming new homeowners to the Jordan Ranch Community.
While that was the best part of the PRISMS awards night, Jordan Ranch also took home an award for Billboard of the Year for our Better Out West event. You may have seen it. It was the one with a giant guitar and picture of our headliners Maddie & Tae. Actually, a lot of people must have seen it as approximately 1,000 people who showed up for the event despite rain.
And you know who helped make Best in West such a great event? Solomon! We can’t thank him enough for all that he does for us and we congratulate him on his well-deserved award.
