Sunset Farm, our community garden, has been producing produce at a prodigious rate. So much so, that we’re inviting the public to purchase fresh veggies at our farm stand from 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays beginning April 10.
Previously, the farm stand was only open to residents, but we wanted to bring the farm to the table for everyone. Our stand will be open every Saturday throughout the year. It is located one-half mile east of The Shed amenity center, 30270 Jordan Crossing Boulevard in Fulshear.
What’s available? Right now yummy lettuce, radish, carrots, snap peas and other spring vegetables. Once the season changes, we will have summer crops available such as tomatoes, squash and cucumbers.
The plan is for Sunset Farm to grow 60 to 80 different varieties of vegetables each year. Which means you will want to stop by every week to fill your canvas bag with fresh, high quality produce. Follow us on Facebook for updates on available produce.
Our veggies are better than what you often get in the grocery store because they are grown without synthetic chemicals, making them healthier for consumers.
Sunset Farm is overseen by farm educators from Agmenity, a company that provides agricultural amenity services to developers, HOAs, school districts and other community organizations. Among the many projects it has been responsible for is the 12-acre farm at the center of our Johnson Development sister community Harvest Green.
You can meet some of our farmers at the farm stand when you stop by to purchase the fantastic fruits of their labor. See you there!
