1,000 New Homes Sold and Counting!

We hit a big milestone at the end of 2021 — more than 1,000 homes sold!

Like many who purchased before them, Wayne and Kate Huggins were drawn by the amenities, lifestyle and excellent builders.

“The amenities are fantastic and there are so many family things to do,” said Kate who — with husband Wayne — has a daughter in kindergarten and 4-year-old twins. “There are playgrounds, fun things to do, places to ride your bike and even a new school coming in.”

The Huggins, who are moving from Katy and are buyers 1,001, expect to move into their new home in February.

“We’re so excited,” she said. “We picked a Next Gen home design already under construction that has my husband doing back flips because the multi-generational suite is going to be his ‘man cave.’”

The Huggins are among the approximately 250 people who purchased new homes in Jordan Ranch last year. General Manager Steve Sams says it’s not just the builders and friendly lifestyle that attracts buyers, but also the community’s location that is just a mile south of Interstate 10. The opening of Texas Heritage Parkway in 2021 is another plus to accessibility.

Current builders in Jordan Ranch include Chesmar Homes, David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, J. Patrick Homes, Lennar, Perry Homes and Westin Homes, with homes priced from the $300,000s.

Jordan Ranch students attend schools in the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District, and a new elementary school will start construction in Jordan Ranch in 2022. It is expected to open for the 2023-2024 school year.

Community amenities include a resort-style pool with a lazy river, playgrounds, a clubhouse, a fitness center, lighted tennis courts and trails. One and a half acres in the community are designated for vegetable plots and orchards at the Sunset Farm. Residents can purchase farm produce at the farm stand each Saturday, as well as participate in a farm club, attend classes and volunteer on the farm.
