Our Schools Promise Bright Futures

Good schools provide students with the teachers, materials and opportunities they need to develop essential problem-solving skills. Good schools also stimulate curiosity, encourage social skills and prepare kids for higher education. Schools like those our young Jordan Ranch residents attend.

Lamar Consolidated ISD

Jordan Ranch is zoned to schools in the award-winning Lamar Consolidated ISD (LCISD). The district is the fourth fastest-growing district in the Houston area. It is also the largest, serving approximately 36,000 K-12 students across 45 campuses throughout Fort Bend County.

The district has received numerous accolades, including an overall A rating from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in 2019 — the last year the agency reported ratings due to the pandemic. Out of the more than 1,200 school districts and charter schools in Texas, Lamar CISD was one of only 301 districts to receive the “A” rating.

Niche awarded LCISD an overall A rating for 2022. It ranks No. 106 out of 1,018 on Niche’s list of best school districts in Texas.

Lindsey Elementary

Lindsey Lions attend a state-of-the-art school featuring 38 classrooms, a library, a science room, a computer lab, an art room with a patio, a music room, a life skills center, a special education resource room and a gym. Niche ranks it No. 1 in Fort Bend County for the best teachers. The school received a 9 out of 10 from Great Schools based on students’ above average test scores, low student/teacher ratio and nurturing staff. In 2019, the school received an accountability rating of A from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for the previous school year. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the state waived accountability ratings for the 2019-2020 school year.

Elementary School #34

Last year, LCISD approved construction of a new elementary school to serve area students. The new school will begin construction in 2022 and is expected to open for the 2023-2024 school year. Like other LCISD schools, Elementary School #34 will boast a strong curriculum and experienced teachers.

Roberts Middle School

Unique to LCISD is the presence of sixth grade-only middle schools.  The school focuses on the needs of pre-adolescents to provide a smooth transition to secondary schools. Teachers are specially trained to address the physical and emotional changes that these students are going through so that they can succeed academically, socially and emotionally. Students benefit from smaller class sizes, music, art and athletic programs. Gifted and talent and special education programs are available. Roberts opened in 2019. Due to the pandemic, students were unable to take state-mandated tests.

Leaman Junior High School

Leaman Junior High School opened five years ago and is already making a name for itself. Niche ranks the school among the top 15 percent out of 2,223 middle schools. It is among the top 20 in Fort Bend County. Student scores on state-mandated test are above average thanks to a strong curriculum and teachers with an average of nine years of experience. The school boasts a strong music program with band members garnering numerous Sweepstakes awards at district and state competitions. Students also have opportunities to participate in journalism, yearbook, choir, theater arts, cheerleading, dance and a range of UIL competitions. Honors and pre-Advanced Placement classes are available.

Fulshear High School

Fulshear High School received an A ranking from the TEA in 2019 — the last year the agency reported ratings due to the pandemic. Niche ranked it among the

top 20 percent of high schools in the state in 2022. Teachers boast an average 10 years of teaching experience. Niche also ranked Fulshear among the top 20 high schools in Fort for college prep. The Charger Band is one of the best in the state with the marching band receiving a superior rating in 2020 and the varsity concert band taking home a Sweepstakes award in 2021. Students also are able to participate in more than 30 clubs and organizations. Athletic programs at the high school are strong, with the girls volleyball team taking home the state championship in 2019.
